Get Stitchy with Needle Noodle at Kanibal & Co.

We’re threading a little creativity into the calendar this season with two hands-on embroidery workshops led by Needle Noodle (@needlenoodle.nj) — one at Kanibal & Co. Jersey City and one at Kanibal & Co. Summit.

Designed to make embroidery feel approachable, playful, and completely your own, each small-group workshop will walk guests through the basics of stitching while working on a project created especially for that location. No experience required — just come ready to learn something new and make something you’ll actually want to use.

Jersey City: Pencil Case Embroidery

At our Jersey City shop, guests will create a one-of-a-kind embroidered pencil case

Personalize yours with your own stitches and details, then use it to stash pens, art supplies, makeup, or whatever little things tend to float around your bag.

It’s an easy, beginner-friendly introduction to embroidery with plenty of room to make the finished piece feel entirely your own.

Summit: Farmers Market Tote Embroidery

Over in Summit, we’re embracing farmers market season with an embroidered market tote — made for flowers, fresh produce, local finds, and Saturday mornings downtown.

Guests will learn the same foundational embroidery techniques while transforming their tote into something completely unique through their choice of stitches and details.

Meet Needle Noodle

Both workshops are led by Needle Noodle, a New Jersey-based embroidery studio making the art of stitching feel fun, social, and accessible.

Each guest will receive their own Needle Noodle Embroidery Kit, complete with a hoop, needle, signature “noodle” pin cushion, needle threader, mini scissors, and a resealable project bag. The best part? The tools are yours to keep, so your new embroidery habit doesn’t have to end when the workshop does. You’ll head home with a finished project, your full embroidery kit, and the skills to keep stitching long after class.

Whether you’ve been embroidering for years or have never picked up a needle and thread, all skill levels and ages are welcome.

Two shops. Two different projects. Plenty of reasons to get stitchy. We can’t wait to create with you.
